MC Eiht – We Come Strapped

1. Niggas that kill…A mix between an intro and an opening track.  Nice mix of a bassline and instrumentation.  4/5
2. Def wish III intro
3. Def wish III…A diss aimed at DJ Quik.  Tight lyrics.  Good diss track.  Beat sounds similar to the opening track.  4.5/5
4. Take 2 wit me…As with the previous track, the beat consists of a bassline and a mix of different instruments.  Works well with Eiht’s verses.  4/5
5. All for the money…Simple beat with a loop consisting of a hard hitting bassline and a couple of plucking notes of a guitar.  Smooth, laidback flow.  5/5
6. Compton cyco…Faster beat than previous tracks.  Eiht flows well to it.  4/5
7. Niggas make the hood go round…Straight gangsta sounding track with that classic production that usually accompanies an MC Eiht song.  4.5/5
8. Nuthin’ but high…An interlude.  Not much to it, but I love the smooth beat.  3.5/5
9. We come strapped…Good production.  The tambourine in the loop is a nice touch.  Lyrics on point.  Goes well with beat.  4/5
10.   Can I still kill it?…Sequel to the song on CMW’s album.  Nice, laidback fuck song.  Smooth production.  4/5
11.   Goin’ out like geez…Classic MC Eiht song.  Production fits his style perfectly.  4/5
12.   Nuthin’ but the gangsta…Tight bangin’ beat with a piano loop.  Features Spice 1 and Redman who represent well.  4/5
13.   Hard times…Slow Eiht flow to match slow beat.  He puts it down.  4/5
14.   Compton bomb…High quality production, using many different elements to compose the beat.  So many different instruments are used here.  4/5
15.   2 tha westside…Outro.  Not much to the beat.  3/5

OVERALL…9.5/10

Nearly perfect CD.  Play the CD straight through without skipping a track.  Production is of top-notch quality.  So many different sounds and instruments are used on one beat, they just sound amazing.  Straight gangsta rhymes from Eiht.  You can’t ask for much more of an album.

Doggystylin:
tight ass review homie. i was just bumpin this shit today, i agree wit that review. eiht is st8 up gangsta as fuck!

shlomid1:
i dont feel it too much becouse of the prodaction it aint g-funk at all but the lyrics are tight so il give it 7.5/10.

West Coast Veteran:
Damn '94 was an ill ass year fo' sho! So many classics dropped that year. Regulate... G-Funk Era and this album being the stand-outs from the West Coast in that year. Eiht brought nothing but gangsta shit on this album. DJ Slip handled the production amazingly. The only problem I have with this album is very minor and that's at the beginning of every song Eiht says "Gyeah! 8-Hype, Lil' Hawk and Bird..." LOL! Otherwise this album is one of my favorites from the West.

That_Cracka_J:
Yeah, those shout outs get old.  That's one thing I don't like about the album.
