Snoop Dogg – Tha Last Meal
1. Intro
2. Hennesey N buddah…One of Kokane’s best hooks and a dope ass Snoop flow. 5/5
3. Snoop Dogg (What’s my name pt.2)…This song is very different for a Snoop Dogg. Production is terrible, but Snoop’s lyrics are decent. 2.5/5
4. True lies…A funny skit at the beginning asking Bill Clinton about Monica Lewinsky. Smooth, laidback production a simple, but dope hook by Kokane. Laidback flow. 4.5/5
5. Wrong idea…Good lyrics, nice hook and decent production. 3.5/5
6. Go away…Dope ass beat. Snoop flows his ass off on this track. Kokane’s got a hella tight chorus. His humming and wailing in the background makes the song that much better. 5/5
7. Set it off…I’m not really feelin’ this beat. It sounds like something is missing. Lyrics are tight as hell, especially MC Ren’s verse. 3.5/5
8. Stacey Adams…Most laidback track on the album. Kokane almost sounds drunk singing the hook and it sounds good as hell. Snoop spits a hellafied laidback flow. 4.5/5
9. Lay low…Nice gangsta track with the Eastsidaz and Master P. Everybody puts a tight verse. Nate Dogg lays down a bomb ass chorus. 4/5
10. Bring it on…Suga Free appears on the track and puts down one of his tightest flows. Kokane changes the hook up and every other verse. Dope Snoop flow. A+ production. 5/5
11. Game court…interlude
12. Issues…Sounds like a freestyle. It works well. 4/5
13. Brake fluid…Strange beat and I’m diggin’ it. Kokane lays down a crazy ass hook and I’m lovin’ it. Snoop spits rhymes about his hoes. 4.5/5
14. Ready 2 ryde…Collaboration with Eve. Snoop surprisingly sounds comfortable flowing to this beat. Decent track. 3/5
15. Loosen control…A lighter type of production and different subject matter for Snoop about females. Tight ass hook by Butch Cassidy. 4/5
16. I can’t swim…Raw, angry flow. The high-pitched voice is a nice touch to the track. Wicked production. 4.5/5
17. Leave me alone… Different style for Snoop. He sings his rhymes, instead of rapping them. The chorus by Snoop is the best part of the song. 3.5/5
18. Back up off me…The only song with the classic No Limit down south production. Too up-hype for this album and for Snoop’s album. Definitely did not belong on the CD. 2/5
19. Y’all gone miss me…The beat is reminiscent of G thang. Snoop spits three passionate verses. Kokane gives it the perfect touch with his hook. 5/5
OVERALL…9/10
Everybody thought the Snoop Dogg they used to know was gone and would never again return. He represented well with this album and proved that he is on top of his game. Top notch production and great hooks for the tracks. Kokane was the perfect choice to lay down 8 choruses. I love the hooks. I think Kokane is what really make this album what it is.
Dr._Funkenstein:
Word up! Kokane's vocals and Snoop's laid back lyrics are a perfect combination. I didn't like Timbaland's beat tough.
That_Cracka_J:
Yeah, I don't like his production. I've noticed you like Kokane, too. There doesn't seem to be many Kokane fans in here.
