MASH-UP POSSE

    Though we have been hyping up M.O.P.'s forthcoming rock/rap hybrid LP, The Mash Out Posse, with Shiner Massive, if you though Fame and Danze were the epitome of gully before ("your fucking with the original Backstreet Boys"), wait till you hear what they have in store with The Mash Out Posse. We recently got a six-track preview of the LP and what we heard totally flips the script on rock/rap hybrids; "Conquerors" features M.O.P. blasting away over Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" and on "Hilltop Flava" (No Sleep Till Brooklyn) Shiner Massive replays the Beastie's track with renewed vigor. Another track we heard that stood out included a re-recorded edgier version of "Fire" (which all of you gaming enthusiasts will recognize from EA Sports Fight Night 2004). M.O.P. is taking extreme measures to market this LP to both the Urban and Rock crowds and will even be joining Snoop and Ghostface on the main stage of Linkin Park's Project Revolution tour this spring.
