Just wanted to mention  "Trapped" (one of Pac's best tracks)...

not 100% sure, but I think the bassline you hear through the song came from Tom Browne.

The song is "Her Silent Smile" and it is off the "Love Approach" album,
 the original 1979 album that had the well known track "Funkin' for Jamaica (N.Y.)"...

Yall can listen to that Tom Browne track and tell me if that's the same bassline or not... I don't have any kind of proof, etc, but to me that's it.  Also, I thought Shock G produced the song "trapped"

Alos, gotta mention that "Words of Wisdom" (another dope track) sampled Herbie Hancock "Chameleon"

Glad you have this site for listing West Coast samples
