Holy shit, that was a crazy game..  

Deco & Rui Costa was sick and Simbrao impressed.. Portugal got some strong defenders..

Lampard & Campbell was the most impressive Brits, but England should have kept attacking, instead of letting Portugal get all the attacks, Portugal had 65% possession..

I think Campbell's goal was correctly disallowed, Terry had his hand on Ricardo's shoulder and pushing him..
Wonder why Heskey wasn't put on, could have added some weight to the attack..

Damn, that was an amazing game...

I must say that Becks missing his pen seemed to sum up his tournament (as I believe one of the BBC commentators said). I think all these allegations surrounding his personal life has caused some real torment for him and has certainly affected his game. As 'Seer said, the media will have a field day with that and will probably be quick to pronounce his career over.

Rooney's absence was certainly felt and I can't help but wonder what would have happened if he had been able to take a pen. As for Vassel, I feel truly sorry for him - its no constolation but at least he didn't sky the ball.

Still, Portugal played a good game and were worthy victors.

Ok, I sound like a bitter bitch but we where "robbed".

We sat back and let Portugal attack us, ok if I were England manager I wouldn't of done that but that ws Svens game plan and we where doing a dam good job of it.  Sols goal was fine, ok Terry was in there but you cant expect him to go running out of the way to make it easy for the keeper.  The keeper tried to jump and when he realised he wasn't gunna get there he threw himself to the ground.  The ref was all over their dick for the whole game, awful.

I know this sounds like a dumbass thing to say but if anybody thinks that penalty spot was up to scratch they are dumbasses.  Fucking players had to jump on it to flattend it for fucks sake.  Ok it could of gone either way but I think the pens should of been taken at the other end.  The pen spot looked like pastry fof gods sake, Beckham and Vassells kicks where scuffs.  

Anyway I'm proud of the boys, theres no shame to going out on penalties.  We didnt go out without a fight, we had the odds against us with the ref (as per usual) and we gave it are all.  Fucking Qatar could beat Brazil on pens cos thats just the way it is.  Well done England!

I'm not sure you have ever seen Emile Heskey play football. He has NO pace whatsoever. The England midfield went missing for most of the game so Vassell and Owen got almost no service.

Where was Beckham? The sort of game when England need him and he doesn't do a thing. Didn't even give an interview at the end of the match and that's our captain.

You're right in one way..
Campbell would NEVER have that goal disallowed in the Premier League..

But internationally, it's different.. the bar for getting freekicks in Serie A and Primera Division is much lower, and so has it been in this championship..
Not as bad as Serie A, but somewhere between PL & Serie A, and this time England suffered from it..
I know I'd be pissed if it was Norway, getting disallowed goals minutes before end is always a slap in the face..
