Shortyo, government name Richard Hentosh, is not your ordinary rapper. He represents that true thug-life to the fullest, and then some. Shortyo is so far ahead of the game that there isn't anyone who's remotely close to catching up. Simply put: Shortyo keeps it so real, one listen and, he'll make any "Gangsta" go soft. And these traits stem from all his personal experiences in the streets that have made him to be one of the most-if not the most-lethal rapper around today. Now, blazing mics and his lifestyle on his solo debut project, "Living My Life," Shortyo explains how it is to live in his shoes for the time. You're either with him or against him, plain and simple.Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, The Highland Garden Projects where he was introduced to gang life. Even though he moved from the city to the nearby city of Eddystone. Shortyo still stuck it in the streets of Chester everyday. The streets have taught him the life. "I grew up in the ghetto like erryone else. We was on welfare, 6 muthafuccas same 2 bedroom house, Kick the oven door open for some heat" says Shortyo. "I was struggling too." Drugs, guns and gangs become routine in the ghetto. Shortyo made the right decisions. He Started RhymingEven though Shortyo's 1st studio session wasn't until 1996 he knew this was what he wanted to do.Now after 6 years in the game Shortyo Has readied himself to represent the streets like no one has. "I represent THE STREETS Them Gangstas doing it"..Shortyo is the streets. His new album, Living My Life, is a great example of a "ghetto childs" ability to turn all his negatives into positives and live to tell the story. "I don't rap to be rhyming words like most rappers do. I tell my story whether you agree or can relate to it or not its is on you," boasts Shortyo. Living My Life is an audio documentary, from the ghetto to the gold Shortyo explains how it is to Live His Life. Implicating the streets into his rhymes like noone else can. To face the fact Shortyo. is a child of the ghetto-born and raised. He's a straight-up thug with a big dream and a receptive spirit. When Shortyo says "Nobody does it quite like me," he's telling the honest truth
today the bullshit stops.
