Yeah, of course it will be good.  This guy's gonna try and make a run @ Stephen King's crown, I'll bet.  I don't think he's gonna make it, lol.

movie wise, i don't feel stephen king...i think he's fallen off

Stephen King is known for writing novels which get turned into movies...M. Night Shyamalan is known for writing movies, and directing them himself...The comparison was horrible...PeACe

Can't wait to see this flick.

Shymalawn never dissapoints in my opinion.  6th Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, all dope movies and I can't wait for this film.  I have seen all the trailers and I am soooo looking forward to it, he just makes dope movies.

never disappoints? did u see the ending of Signs? It didn't make any fucking sense. aliens that can't be touched by water are visiting a planet not only covered in 70% water but a planet where it consistently rains,  herding beings whose bodies are built up by water. and that 'Swing away' thing was so horrible. I loved Unbreakable, 6th Sense. i liked Signs up to the ending. that ending was a disappointment.

well thats what i think anyway.

As everyone has said his movies ain't about making people shit themselves they are about a storyline and then a suspensful ending.  I thought Signs was great.  Sure people will think the Swing Away and the whole Alien coming to a planet where there is 70% water thing is dumb but one word sumed that movie up for me:  Fate.  That was the storyline, that was how the story was told and I thought it was awesome.

Can't wait for this shit.

I guess the reason the aliens in sign came to earth, even though it was full of water...because they were really really hungry ;D

They're both known for writing horror/suspense movies.  Your intelligence forbids you from seeing the similarities involved in an obvious comparison.  "PEACE~"

If you wanna compare Shyamalan, compare him to John Carpenter or Wes Craven...Not Stephen King, you moron.

why can't you compare them when steven kings writes/directs movies untop of writing books?

it's like saying you can't say michael jordan wasn't good at baseball player because he was known for basketball

Hey, I Don't Know... the whole board recognizes my intellect as superior to yours, so slow your roll.

Stephen King writes suspense/horror movies.  so does M night Shayamananana.  Stephen King has basically done a much better job, because he has 2 or 3 dozen good movies under his belt.  Shayamananana has 3, going on 4.  King didn't direct his, but who gives a fuck? They wouldn't have been done without him.

The 6th Sense
Unbreakable
Signs
The Village

Compare that to

Carrie
The Stand
Pet Cemetary
It
Rose Red
The Shining (which is beter than anything Shaymalan has done)
Needful Things
Christine
Apt Pupil
Children of the Corn
Cat's Eye
Creepshow 1
Creepshow 2
Cujo
The Dark Half
The Dead Zone
Dolores Claiborne
Dreamcatcher
Firestarter
Graveyard Shift
Green Mile
Hearts In Atlantis
Misery
The Mist
The Running Man
Salem's Lot
The Shawshank Redemption
Sleepwalkers
Sometimes They Come Back
Stand By Me
Thinner
The Tommyknockers

If you can't see the comparison as WRITERS, and that King is easily superior, I dunno what to tell you.

Most of the board? Trauma, you are a dumbass, and I know a lot more about the horror genre than you...Most of the movies you listed were just movies that were taken from Stephen King novels...He doesn't even write the screenplay...For instance, Stephen King HATED The Shining (1980 version)...You can compare them as writers, but saying Shaymalan is trying to become the next Stephen King is ridiculous...PeACe
