Since 1903 five riders have managed to win the Tour five times:

Jacques Anquetil (France) in 1957, 1961, 1962, 1963 and 1964;
Eddy Merckx (Belgium) in 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1974;
Bernard Hinault (France) in 1978, 1979, 1981, 1982 and 1985;
Miguel Induráin (Spain) in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995 (the first to do so in five consecutive years).
Lance Armstrong (United States) in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. Armstrong is set to win the 2004 Tour.

I always foun the tour de France boring ... IT'S GUYS RIDING A BYCICLE!!!
but i'm really interested this time(I don't watch but i follow the results) because i always get excited whenever anyone is close to beating a record  , pair that up with the fact that the guy in question had cancer and being a person who has a close friend/cousin who's battling cancer this really gets my hopes up.
