Warren G is the fan favorite from 213?

I was surprised when I looked at the Power 106 website poll and saw that he was leading in the polls. Check it:

Y'all think that's an accurate poll?

most the people who vote there are from the west, and the people who listen to 213 on the west are actual fans of the group. so yes it does seem accurate.

I would think Warren G would win nearly any poll of any group of people.  The only thing the public knows about Warren G, if they know anything at all, is the singles he put out back in the day, like Smokni' Me out, Regulate, This D.J., all excellent top quality stuff.  Snoop has put out so much stuff that people see him as like a joke or a comic book character or something, and he has a lot of negativity around him from his days on trial for murder, to his porn videos, the negativity in his lyrics which were basically thrust into the limelight whenever gangsta rap was being criticized all the time... so a lot of people have a sour taste in their mouth, either from that negativity, or like the people on this board, from the watered down commercial music he's released that isn't very good.  Nate Dogg is seen as a gimmick because he just sings, and all of his hooks sound similar (although near perfect).  So Warren G would be the natural choice of 'favorite' in the group to nearly anybody.  I'll bet he'd win out on here like 80%.

The public in Cali should remember I Want It All, because that was on Power for days, and the Game Don't Wait remix, which was also always on the radio. People in Cali are very aware of who Warren G is, most everyone I know, knows Warren G, and owns at least I Want It All and Regulate... the G Funk Era. Not many people I know own The Return of the Regulator, but likes Ghetto Village. And with a poll on Power 106, I'd imagion it would be mainly Cali voters, and most Cali people know all the members of 213 really well. It doesn't surprise me if any one of them is on top. I personally picked Warren G but when I voted I think Snoop was on top of the polls, I forgot. It's all good. I just can't think of 213 though, without Warren G producing. To me, with 213, he doesn't even need to rap and all the songs, just produce them all. After all, 213 was from back in the days you had a rapper and producer, like Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, Eric B. and Rakim, Gangstarr, Boogie Down Production, N.W.A. had the same producers, and 213 was Snoop Doggy Dogg, Nate Dogg singing, and of course the D.J. Warren G. To me, the only true 213 album has to be 100% produced by Warren G, or maybe have one track produced by Dre. What's out is Snoop featuring Nate Dogg and Warren G, it's not 213 unless Warren drops the beats.

(side note: I just double checked right now, and Warren G is the leader, not by much over Snoop, and Nate is closely behind both... lol. I think in Cali, all of them have their loyal fans.)

Out on the West Warren hasn't really "sold out" or went with that bull shyt. He's a mans man, a next door neibour people can still relate to. Snoop has done the comic book scenario, he's been with the ICE people as well as Nate Dogg being with Ludacris and any other idiot in the game. Snoop going to Neptunes.

Warren G has always remained the man he was back in the early 90's with the same vision, however Snoop and Nate having the companies and management they had has rifted them in other directions and basically trapped them in money grabbing in any way shape or form. Warren Has always tried to bring us the good music. (apart from Return Of The Regulator - which was still ok) but as M Dogg was sayin, people remember I want It All, the videos to it, and that was the real return of the regulator in my eyes. The only thing Warren has done that I know is signing a deal to have amps and speakers. Audio is what allows us to hear music after all.

Warren G, Nate, then Snoop last

It's nice for a man who is constantly ignored and run over to head the polls for popularity.

Give this poll results to the rapper once named Snoop Doggy Dogg. >:(
