What do you think of Hip Hop in the European countries? European Hip Hop is cool its been a big part of my career my first gold record came from Germany go over there since 1996 till now my fan base has been huge. Especially wit the Beer festivals and the what not I’ve been in parts of the U.K. and different parts of Europe all over the place.
So what’s the next thing for X? Weapons of mass destruction my new record will be coming out this summer and I am very excited about it
I know that you started rhyme night, why do you think a night like tonight will be good for L.A.? It takes a person that really has a desire to see it going. This is the platform that I started off with just being able to a crowd of people in front of me that was presented by Bigger B created by a group called Unity I’m not trying to recreate unity but what I’m saying is I can take that concept and grow with it and if it takes me to take time out of my schedule for LA for Hip Hop Period to make this happen I can do that
What do you think affects an event like this is going to have on the west coast as a whole? We’ll do our part it takes two though you know what I mean it takes the culture the people that we’re doing this for to support it and come back and stand up for it because you’ll never know if I didn’t have the platform to come the way I did then who would have known We’re not promising NO record deals we’re not promising no explosion we’re not promising anything what we’re doing is creating that stage a platform with a banging system a banging venue and a mic where you can get heard and get up there and get busy it’s not like a freestyle battle completion this is a showcase we want to see what you do and how your going to do for Hip Hop to keep it alAlive
Strong Arm Steady When can we expect something coming from you guys and release dates? We just dropped a DVD just to kind of introduce the gang to everyone its doing well it in stores now but um we want to put out weapons of mass destruction first to show case and introduce everybody the right way give them a grassroots approach
On the DVD what can we expect? A lot of footage an introduction to each person in the strong arm steady group its got Krondon, Mitchy Slick, Phil Agony, and myself but its not so much focused on me its focused on these guys and why we got together to form strong arm steady and what we plan to do as a group its just a good introduction to the way we want to come out instead of hitting you with a guest appearance or a mixtape guest appearance I’m going to hit you with a whole introduction
How important is it for to have an artist like Sly Boogie to be an up and coming on the west to be a part of your organization? Its extremely important, we need him to come up and be seen and be heard like so many other artist we have out here this is something that has to be done have to be maintained has to be cultivated I understand cause I love it I love what I do we need people like that to put everybody on
When is Weapons of Mass Destruction scheduled to come out? I don’t know I don’t have a schedule yet I’m definitely in there cracking it out but I don’t have a release day yet.
They have a couple of other nice interviews, among others with Outlawz and TQ.
