Knicks are improving madstyle, so no way...

not really,  there a one an done playoff team.  Unless they can unload allan houston.  But b4 there GM got fired last year they were easily one of the worst run organizations in sports.

Were talking about now...Hiring Isaiah Thomas and getting Marbury on the team improved them by a whole lot...What do you mean "not really"?..Next year they'll be contenders in the East...Mark my words.

Unless the Knicks can unload Allan Houston they will not be a contender untill he is gone.

lol at Zeke being an upgrade for the Knicks. As a player, the man was amazing. As a GM/Coach nba exec, he's horrible. The cba crumbled while he was in charge, the Raptors were a train wreck, he couldn't get the Pacers out of the first round of the playoffs, and then he takes a Knicks squad that is burried in huge contracts, and trades them for even bigger contracts. Problem is, New York is a city that does not have the patients for a rebuilding project... whoever took over as gm should have let some of these huge contracts expire, or worked on moving them, and playing a year or 2 with a squad like the jazz or hawks had until they had space to sign a huge star like Marbury, but also had a good draft pick or 2 to go along with it. Zeke was destined to fail regardless of his exec smarts... no one could have taken over the Knicks in thier current situation and made it into something immediatly... but you Knick fans will be calling for his firing in 2 more years, just like you were layden. He's been just awful since his Detroit days.

Pacers did hella' good when Isaiah was the coach...Just look at how Jermain O'Neal went from a role player to a superstar...He even credits Isaiah for that.

if you tell new york fans that you are rebuilding an that is what you are doing an do it right.  new york fans can wait.  If you dick ny fans around than we dont take it.  Thats what happening with mets fans.  They said they were rebuilding.  3 months later they traded away the farm system.  About layden,  im not a knick fan,  but he was a fuckin moron.  He was running the team into the ground.

Jermaine O'neal would of gotten good eventually regardless of who coached him.  Zeke just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

wow nobody mentioned the clippers ??? simply amazing.

I was thinking the same thing. I mean, they always have a very solid, young team that if kept togethet they could be built into contenders. Then Donald Sterling finds a way to get rid of everybody, and start over again. They chased after Kobe, and everyone knew Kobe wasn't that dumb to accept their offer. I mean, people in LA don't even like the Clippers, they treated Kobe going to the Clippers like if Kobe was leaving town like Shaq. If A-Rod was traded to the Mets, the other half of New York would be happy, if Kobe goes to the Clippers all of LA gets pissed off because the Clippers don't have no fans, except the 5,000 that show up each night, and half of those seats are free anyways due to give-a-ways... lol. Out of a town of over 3million people, that's not a good percentage in a town that has proven to support 2 teams in any sport that's there. At least the Mets made the World Series within the last 5 years, the Rangers have some history, the Clippers are so forgotten, that one poll in the LA times back in 1998, every team in LA history was mentioned except for the Clippers... lol. Then the sports writers mentioned that spoke louder about them then if one letter was written. Clippers=worst run organization in sports.

The Charlotte Hornets were ran horribly.  This asshole named George Shinn owned the team, and at first, everything was cool.  We led the league in attendance, and had pretty much shitty players.  After a few years, we traded and got some great draft picks, but had tons of problems with management having a team that plays like a team.  After a while, great players like Alonzo Mourning, Larry Johnson, etc. were all leaving the team, because management wanted to cut salaries.  @ the time, we're still leading the league in attendance, and I believe merchandise sales, as well.

So, just when things are starting to look bad, Shinn gets busted for a sexual harassment case, lots of weird shit happening at his house with his maid, etc.  On top of that, he's still underpaying players, all of the big name talent has left, and the guys we still had around were all disgruntled.  Shinn wouldn't pay to hire anymore big guns, so the team sucks.

Along comes Michael Jordan.  He's retired from ball, but wants to play for Charlotte, since he's a North Carolina native.  He wants to play a year, then buy a portion of the team.  Shinn tells Michael Jordan, the greatest player to ever play the game, No, Mr. Jordan, I dont' want you to play for my team, and I won't sell you a portion of my team.

Less than 6 months later Shinn sells half of the Hornets to some dick head named Ray Woolridge.

Woolridge and Shinn immediately start bitching about how their arena, which the taxpayers had just built specifically for the Hornets 7 years earlier, wasn't big enough.  So, the Mayor holds a special ballot to decide if the taxpayers want to give the Hornets 200 million dollars to build a downtown arena... the taxpayers overwhelmingly say "no", so Shinn and Woolridge decide to move the team to New Orleans.

The mayor claims that Shinn & Woolridge were total pricks, and that he couldn't even talk to them on the phone or in person, they were just assholes he couldn't get along with.  Along comes Bob Johnson, and we've got a team on the ground and running 3? years after the Hornets left, which is unprecedented.  The only bullshit factor is, the Bobcats are getting a new arena built downtown (which is what the hornets wanted)... difference is though, it's being paid for by a tax on motel stays, so tourists are actually footing the bill, not the taxpayers.  Crazy times.

It's pretty fuckin' cool, there's a camera on the arena site, and you can control the camera, and look around the city and zoom in and shit.  LOL

Oh shit! I just noticed that when you get 'control' of the camera, it's only for a limited time, because you're actually moving the camera around, LOL.  So they let you do it for 20 seconds, then you have to wait to get control of it again if someone else is fucking with it.  That's why it keeps zooming in and moving and shit, LOL.  Technology: Amazing.
