we have cigarette automats on every corner here tom. every 5yr old can buy some if he has 4 bucks.

they used to have them in ny.  But thet got rid of them in the early 90's i think b/c too many kids were buying them.

Well, I have no say in British law, but in my opinion, there shouldn't be any laws on ciggarettes.  How can you say it's alright for adults to smoke, but it harms children? If it harms children, it harms adults.  If you're going to regulate the children, regulate the adults.  It's up to parents to educate their kids on what they should and shouldn't smoke.  I'm around lots of families with children, and most of them don't smoke... guess what? Their kids don't either, they don't crave it and don't want anything to do with it, they see it as a nasty habit they would never want to get involved with.  The few people I know that do smoke, guess what? Their parents did too.  I'm sure that's not always the case, and maybe some of yall are the exceptions, but I've found that kids usually mimick their parents behaviour in things like this.

i'm pretty sure the age of consent for boys is only 14 but its 16 for girls.  it was 18 for gay sex but they were talking about a law change a year or 2 ago i dunno what happened with that.
