so in the US if a 13 year old kid gets a 13 year old girl pregnant... he's done nothing wrong? say her family trips out and wants to sue the kid that "violated" their lil girl (coz thats how they'll see it) .. they cant do shit?
no matter what age you are if you fuck someone under age.. you are liable for statutory rape BUT now here's where it gets funny.. someone has to report it.. and when you're under the legal age.. your parents can file on your behalf.. so even if the 2 kids are saying they wanted to.. if her family trips out and wants to press charges.. they can!

"Age Of Consent" means if someone under that age has sex with someone, they're not old enough to consent to it legally. So, if ANY person under the age of Consent has sex, the person they're having sex with can be in big trouble. As in, charged with Rape. That much trouble.
In America the laws are different for each state. For example, South Carolina I believe has the lowest age of consent, 14. There's still laws though preventing a 14 year old from having sex with someone more than 3 years (Or something like that) older than them. It all revolves around the age of 18, it's something like
a girl 14 can have sex with someone as long as they're no older than 17
a girl 15 can have sex with someone as long as they're no older than 18
a girl 16 can have sex with someone as long as they're no older than 19
a girl 17 can have sex with someone as long as they're no older than 20
a girl 18 can have sex with anyone
