Gary Neville 29
Ferdinand 25
Silvestre 27
Heinze 26
O'Shea 22
Fortune 26
Brown 24
Spector 18

Great point Jome!

Fortune isn't even a defender..

You are revealing your own ignorance.

Fortune is a left back.  He began his career as a left winger, and still plays there for S.Africa, but has played more games for United at left back than on the wing.  Last season he was our first choice left back but he is very injury prone.  Ask Ferguson what position he plays. Come on give me a little credit I go and watch this team every week I know what position players play in.

And the point was you called the defence ageing.  Which means they are getting old.  Admit it was the wrong choice of words.  You might thing they're not great players but there is no way you can say they are ageing.

OK, they aren't aging.. they're getting too old/slow for the fast pace of the Premiership..  ;D And sold their best defender a while ago.
Every time I've seen Fortune, he comes on as a midfielder..  ??? Then again, I try to avoid watching ManU..  :D

Then you haven't seen Fortune for over a year.  The last time he played at left wing was aginst Spurs actually.  When we won 2 -0 at White Hart lane in 2002 - 2003 to basically clinch the title he set up Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuud.
