I'm happy to see everyone keepin his name alive... How long will we mourn you?...  Forever Pac....

Because it's the anniversary of his passing on....I just want to share a memory I have of 2pac's music....It was the last day of school in 1997, 2pac had been dead for several months but the Machevelli album was still makin noise on the charts and everybody was still mourning 2pac's death.... Anyway, for my 9th grade theatre class on the last day of school we got to do any kind of presentation we wanted to.. it was our choice.  The day 2pac was shot, my girlfriend had just left her father's home across the street to move back in with her mother, who lived a thousand miles away in Maryland.  I was feeling really sad and depressed for a long time about that, and all I could do was just stare out my window and listen to the same 2pac songs over and over just trying to numb the pain.  So for the last day of school in theatre class I switched up the lyrics to "Me and My Girlfriend" and made a little tribute to my x-girlfriend who had moved away.  It was deep, and I put a lot into it.  Then that day when I came home from school I saw a "For Sale" sign in my x-girlfriends yard.  Her father was getting ready to move to Maryland so he could see his daughter on a more regular basis.  This meant I was never going to see her again.  So I put on some more Pac and just kept bangin his music till I could numb the sadness. 

Rest in peace Pac, and thanks for the memories.

Well.. I haven't been Muslim all my life... Pac was a big part of my childhood.... We can't ever let his name die... Rest in Peace 2pac.. We'll Mourn Forever!
