Led Zeppelin
« on: September 12, 2004, 03:25:18 AM »
Led Zeppelin are considered to be the Pioneers of hard rock. Yet most of their best songs are a mix of blues/acoustic rock. Awesome, incredible, and infinitely talented group of individuals. Here are my favorite tracks by them.

1. Stairway to Heaven - This is probably everyone's favorite song, whoever has a taste in music. Just the best music has to offer
2. Babe i'm Gonna Leave You - This is a great acoustic song, one of my favorites. Off the First Led Zeppelin album.
3. D'yer Mak'er - This is fuckin ill Raggae shit. Simply incredible song.
4. Since I've Been lovin you - the greatest Blues song i've ever heard
5. You Shook Me - A great blues cut
6. Immigrant song - I love the screaming in this song. Awesome shit.
7. Friends - I like the live version better, but the song is great. Very tight melody, i love the singing and lyrics too.
8. Tangerine - Medieval English soundin type of track until the electric guitar kicks in. One my favorites from "Led Zeppelin III"
9. That's the Way - Great acoustic track with lyrics.
10. Black Dog - Talk about Rock'n'Roll. This song is the epitome of Rock'n'Roll.
11. Misty Mountain Top - Another great Rock and Roll track off "SOZO"
12. Going to California - An easier, acoustic track with very weird lyrics.
13. Kashmir - One of thier most popular songs, and it's massively awesome. Very long, too, 8:28.
14. No Quarter - A very interesting sounding song, kinda reminds me of some Pink Floyd shit

Aight, i'll make more lists of great songs by my favorite rock bands, but that's in the future. Too tired now. Add Your own songs.
"You only live once, you might as well die now" - Slim Shady (RIP)

Good band, don't listen to them tons but I enjoy their music.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
