Oficial Talib Kweli Album Release Party Review

First off I have to say that I have never seen so many ugly girls in one club at a time.  And I have never seen a coat check full of backpacks before.  The Doors opened at 10:00, we got in around 10:30,  the DJ was tryin his best to get the crowd dancing, playing everything from J-Live to High & Mighty.  So as you may have guessed, nobody was dancing.  After that DJ was done, Flipout came on stage to start the show.  He asked the crowd "How many people here already have the new Talib album?", a few people cheered.  The he says, "That's  fucked up, it doesn't come out till next week."  lol  Then he started playing some music.  Around 12:00, Talib had finished at the Beastie Boys concert and made his way to the club.  He got up on stage, talked for a bit, then he freestyled for about 10 minutes.  I didn't know he could freestyle so well. I was Def. impressed.  After he freestyled, he just started drinkin and smokin with the rest of us.  I didn't get a chance to go up to him cuz everytime I saw him, he had groupies hangin off him. 

That was basically it.  He just partied with everyone and hit the stage occasionally. 



oh and I have about 50 little flyers from the show, if there's any huge Kweli fans out there I can send you one.

lol, how i love dem DJ's who get into the club and think it's time for sum Anticon. Almost as much as i luv dem DJ's who play "Ante Up" at 9 o'clock and dem DJ's who play the latest hits 3x an evening...and dem DJ's who play the first 20 seconds of a dope song and then lay some Sean Paul over it...yeah 

shit sounds quite nice tho...i would luv to get the chance to see talib live, or even a blackstar show

sounds good apart from the dj...when i saw Kweli live in June ( ) the dj was playing some real dope tracks beforehand to get the crowd into it...
