Yeah, the release date being pushed back is a pain in the ass for real...especially for Game, 'cause like you guys said, I think the buzz will die down from now on...(let's hope it won't).
And the fucked up thing about that is that's all because of his own label-mate, Eminem! Em could've dropped his album in December, January...hell, even February or March! It's not like he needed his name in the media again urgently, 'cause his D 12 videos are still being played today.

I know it's very easy to find a scapegoat, but in this case, it's the truth. Em is the reason for his album being pushed back, and I think that will have an effect on Game's buzz & sales.

forreal, in wut way do they think they can possibly benefit in sales by delaying it that much? the only thing i can see is if the album isnt ready, but game said it is. if you consider his singles are already leaked, theres really not much chance his sales will actually improve by holdin it back

i dont think the buzz right now is anywhere near what it can be. meaning that, between now and January, its not gonna die down, its only gonna grow IMO. especially if they put out that 3rd single that Game was talkin about on power. In 3 months, EVERYONE is gonna know who the hell game is. Interscope is gonna market and push him as much as 50, thats what i think.

but game premierd it himself on radio 5 days agi i think.and HE said it aint gonna come out until december 7.so he knew its not coig october 24.its wierd

they didnt decide it that same day he was on power to release it as a single. they usually do that weeeeeks before it gets premiered on radio stations

i wouldnt doubt that, but with this move, it basically means game has two street singles. 'higher' is ill as fuck, and it should be his PRIME single. its unfair to say right now since none of us heard his album, but in order for this kinda shit to work, his third single is gonna have to be the kinda shit that blows 'higher' away. unless that really is the case, 'higher' is gonna be kinda a waste.

we can all give him the benefit of the doubt and say 'dont worry his hype will grow', but lets speak realistically for a second. if he were to make higher his single and premier the video at the same time,  he wouldnt have to wait all the way to january 2005 just to gain more hype.

3 singles before an album comes out is too damn much, but if im correct, the 3rd single hasnt been confirmed to be released before games lp comes out. so 'higher' still might be his main single.

fortunately, despite what that other topic said... 'higher' is not gettin radio play yet, not on power 106. i live in la and listen to that station everyday on my way home, and often times in the morning and night, and i havent heard that song played once. its not even on the playlist at the website. they're still stuck on the street single, westside story. so if they were to play their cards right, they can keep westside story going on until mid-november, and then truly release 'higher' as a single. then in mid-december, release the video. that'll be perfect timing to have the fans pumped up to boost his sales wenever his album comes out in january
