Horrible news: Christopher Reeves passes away in Los Angeles

Christopher Reeve had come so far since his paralysis, he redefined what doctors believed was ever possible.  He was able to once again breathe on his own, and after years of rehabilitation, was able to move his index finger.  isThat may not seem like a big deal, but in the medical field it was astonishing.  He vowed that he will some day walk again.  I read a quote from his doctor that he has had since 95 (after the paralysis) and the doctor said that Reeves was the most intense person he had ever met. He was a very big advocate for stem cell research, and John Kerry even mentioned him in the last debate.  He basically began slowly shutting down after nearly 10 years.  He had intestinal problems because he wasn't able to move. What basically happened was with so many tubes going in and out of your body, you become very susceptable to disease and infection, and that is exactly what happened.  RIP to Christopher Reeves, i am truly sad that your are gone. PEACE
