I think the better question would be, why was everyone dissin' the Neptunes Until they produced a track on his (Snoop) lp, now it's coo to admit they drop gem's.
Actually, it's the exact opposite for me... I was bumpin to the Neptunes until I heard this fuckin shit of a beat. Now I'm beginning to question just how good these guys are
The reason that The Neptunes produce so many hits is because they're constantly putting out new beats, which is also why people criticize their beats for being so similar; if you look at the timeline of The Neptunes' beats, you will see that they slowly progress and change their style, but because they put out so many beats, it's hard to notice the change (since it's very gradual for the most part).Dr. Dre, on the other hand, goes for the "quality over quantity" approach, and takes a long time to produce his beats), and not because he's slow or whatever, but because he's a perfectionist; Dre also changes the game (beat-wise) every few years or so, (unlike The Neptunes, who haven't done anything revolutionary, even if they are really good at what they do). That is my opinion.
I think the better question would be, why was everyone dissin' the Neptunes Until they produced a track on his (Snoop) lp, now it's coo to admit they drop gem's.He sounded coo wit' their sound on "How many lick's (remix)" and he sound's good with this one, my beef is Snoop is losing his WEstcoast sound ImO.....something that we on the West loved about our rapper's. keepin' it Cruise for us, just like the south & East rep their shitt. We had our star's reppin' the City of Angles & Cali. Now they sound like everything else out there...OnEHatesrats 2oo2
oh yea and the grinding and when was the last time was the bomb........ who else could produce such a beat? it sounds hella old school and at the same time revolutional...... i love it
