Bramsterdam (see ya):
I liked FVSJ it was ok, some parts we're awesome.. When Freddy comes to the real world, it started playing Saliva"Click Click Boom" and JAson was about to fuck him up.

Its kind of a dope movie

Slapstick comedy?...Ash was barely comedic until "Army of Darkness"...That's when he really went all out...And are we forgetting that one of Freddy's main elements is actually Comedy?...I dunno, I had mixed feelings about Ash being involved when I first heard about it, until the script was deemed awesome by those who had the chance to read it; then I actually got excited...Now I'm disappointed.

well seeing as army of darkness is the most popular of the evil dead series....and that movie turned the story into more comedy than horror...and had a lot of slap stick in it... it would seem misplaced to try and tone down the comedy to fit in the freddy vs jason world

plus, while freddy's personality was almost always on the humerous side...there's no doubt that freddy is a horror icon while ash is a stooge icon
