Why does the term hispanic annoy you? People can label me whatever they want... the truth still stands. That's a point I try and make frequently, perception isn't relevant, because the truth isn't changed by perception.
You are what you are. It doesn't matter if people call you hispanic, wetback, latino, mexican, beaner, whatever the fuck they want. You are still exactly what you are. They can call you a murderer; but if the truth is you're NOT a murder... then you are not a murderer, regardless of them calling you that.
If they call you a hispanic, and the truth is you're not........ why get upset? The truth is still true.

My problem is the system is a form of discrimination to me. They don't group all english speaking Americans up into one group so why do it to Spanish speakers?

I'm not gonna argue if it's discrimination or not with you, it is what it is, like I said no matter what I say about it or you say about it, if it's discrimination, that's what it is. If he can do that, you can rise above somebody writing 'hispanic' on a piece of paper, it ain't shit to you, don't worry about it, just prove the stereotypes wrong if that's what you're up against.
