How can a coach who spent so much time worrying about keeping things out of the media now dump a basket of purple-and-gold dirty laundry in the street? We all saw the negative things Jackson had to say about Bryant in the excerpts released, but as a whole, the book contains more balance, with Jackson expressing admiration for Bryant's ability, and recalling instances of Bryant's unselfishness. Lately, the media loves trashing the name of Kobe, causing even fans (not true fans, of course) to turn their back..."The biggest regret is not finding a way to resolve the conflict that kept Kobe and Shaq from playing as well as they could together, from being part of team," said Jackson. He said the strain on Bryant and the franchise created by the "exacerbating situation" of the felony sexual assault charge against Bryant kept the two from bonding last season - and ultimately kept the team from winning a championship. Jackson said, "I really think that other than that, we went on a pretty good ride, until perhaps maybe the fourth year. There were some sticky things in the fourth year. It had to do with dealing with losing and accommodating teammates. I came back with every intent of trying to find a way through that. But it never got resolved, which I kind of rue. I rue that." Phil Jackson said Jerry Buss invited him to watch a game from his suite at the Staples Center, and he plans to take him up on the offer. Jackson said he's rooting for the Lakers to play O'Neal's new team, the Miami Heat, in the NBA Finals.

Interesting stuff...I think there is no reason to hate on Kobe or the Lakers as a whole. Everyone has their problems...Some work it out, and some don't...The last two seasons with Jackson hadn't turned out as well as the first three...It all comes down to egos clashing. No one should take sides, and no one has the right to trash a mans name based on what they are told. The book should be interesting, but Jackson is known to be biased...You shouldn't base your opinion around his perspective on things...PeACe

Journalists are dangerous. They can make a bitch (ex. the one who sucked Clinton's dick) a star, and if they want, they can destroy her the following day. They can litterally "USE" a book to add drama between two guys when one of them (Kobe) is not talking no more about the other (Shaq), just cause the other one (Shaq) is still doing it, and doing it big. They used a few lines from a 200 pages book to add drama between Kobe and Shaq. Now they have read the whole book, and there's nothing against Kobe, and nothing against Shaq. An unknown police officer says Kobe talked about Shaq? Wow!! "Kobe snitched!!!", the title is done. Nobody cares if it's true or not, if Kobe said it to a police officer or to a friend of him, if he said it during the interrogation (he didnt, cause it wasnt taped) or not, if he said it wanting police to investigate on Shaq (he didnt: cause they didnt), if the police officer got proofs or not (he doesnt).... it's still a big news! "Kobe snitched!!!", the title is done. It's like that, everytimes. They're paranoids. You cant even have a bad day, or a bad comment, or a bad feeling. If you do, they eat you. Let Kobe be in peace, let Shaq continue with his own beefs, let Phil have his book.

P.S. I dont like Phil writing things just a few months after things happened. I prefeer people speaking about the past 5-6 years later, cause you have to deal with your emotions first. Then you can write "your side" of the story. And i dont like Phil talking about private things in a book. Not only Phil, but everyone. If he had a private conversation with some1, that conversation has to remain private. He made that book to make money, imo. I see no benefit other than money. He could have waited 5-6 years, and cutted private conversations. But he just "used" the drama to make a book and make money. That's my opinion. P.P.S. Phil is still the n.1. Like Shaq.
