he directed the first one of the original lot.. 2 different guys did the others... but he still wrote the screenplays.


Irvin Kershner did Empire.. he hasnt done shit for about 10 years.. he did the bond movie "Never Say Never Again " then i guess robocop 2 killed him off..either that or he's living off the royalties


Richard Marquand did ROTJ.. he died about 4 years later



lucas has directed all the new crappy ones..

I liked ROTJ best.  this new one looks cool from the preview, but it will probably have stupid stuff in it.  and the actors are horrible.
