Rappers and producers love metal?

I've notice alot of hiphop heads love heavy metal. For instance, Scarface said one of his favorite groups is "Slayer and Kiss" with the latter group being more hard rock fame than metal. Dr Dre says he loves "Manson and Meshuggah". Jayz with mashing linkin park and Lil john using a Slayer and Ozzy sample in his music. Birdman says his favorite genre of music is "heavy metal". Even though I love hiphop, I also love Meshuggah. Any metal heads in this piece?

not really, i prefer other types of rock music, i listen to very little metal except some 70's shit, but none of the metal bands of today really. i prefer grunge or punk stuff, ska-punk especially or what is generally labelled 'alternative rock'. But I noticed that too, i think it's similar among fans, there's indeed people who basically listen to rap and metal

I Love listening to metal, i just dont know any bands...all my friends are metalheads....its just me whos into hip hop, thats a main reason i dont drive anywhere, they always drive to parties and clubs and stuff, cuz they dont like the music im bumpin in my car

Personally, I can't stand it.  I'll listen to a couple Metallica songs, and I've been to a couple concerts, but that's it.  Slayer and all that shit is useless to me... I understand where people would like them, but it's just not my cup of tea, respectfully.
