get a region free dvd player?

i'd guess its coded to Region 1 (US)

ohh and if it shows black & white you need a tv that can handle NTSC

nope no codecs.

see if you can get a region hack for your PC's dvd drive and the same again for the DVD player software.

if u have TV you can pick up a cheap region free dvd player for 20 quid these days...

i know on the DVD drive on my computer, i can change the region a few times on it, so if you do find a current ripping program, you might want to see if you can chage your region and then rip the dvd to your hard drive

There are also codes for standalone DVD players that make them region free. I dunno what kind you have but if you post up the make model, I can look for you.

You may want to do a search on google for "philips dv642 region free" If you had a philips dvd player with the model dv642.

I thought visualsim was region free tho?  :-\
