i have no clue what's good and what is bad, New Computer questions

okay i've had the same computer since 98 it's a e machine and it's got like a total of 4 gigs of memory which is 97% filled, it's slow as fuck and i can't run hardly ANY new programs on it, shit i can't even run kazaa morpheus limewire NOOOTHING, media players? ha the newest one i can use came out in 2001


so i got some extra cash and am going to buy a new computer......what do y'all suggest? all i know is that i want a computer that has a cd burner and lots of memory , lol i look on bestbuy.com and shit and they have all that shit on most of them but i have NO CLUE what computers are good and what arn't

Just make sure you have like 80 gigs of memory and 500MB Ram.. that will make it pretty fast..  RAM is probably the most important on my list..

Id say just go to dell.com and build yourself a PC.

They usually got some good deals/rebates.

I got my computer from this place called A-Power (www.a-power.com).  It's like a wholesale type place, they'll build a computer for you, I got mine for $300.00 Canadian.  Then I got a burner for $45.00 and more RAM for like $75.00.  There's lots of places like this around.  It's better than getting one from Best Buy.

My cousin got a HP about half a year ago. With 3000+ AMD Athlon CPU, 80 Gigs Hard Drive, 512 MB DDR ram, a DVD Burner, and a 17'' Monitor, wiht Keyboard, mouse, and all the wires.. All for 600$ Not including Tax and Warranty of Course. THe video card is kinda weak, but unless you play new games it doesnt matter much. I think she bought it from Circuit City. It comes with WIndows XP installed of course

Get a HP. I had one HP since 99 and it's still just as fast as my new computer, which is also an HP.

I can't believe your eMachine lasted so long. I once got an eMachine, and the shit broke down on me within a week. So I traded it in, got a HP and I've been happy ever since.

Make sure you got alot of disk space & RAm and you should be set homie.

build your own computer, everything you need at www.newegg.com they got some good shit for cheap. i just ordered a dvd burner from there, one of the best for 85 backs.

just go to ur local best buy or Circuit City and they have a special center called build ur own PC just go there and make the pc u want wit real tech support and waranty if u ever have trouble i have compaq and i cant complain
