i dont see why they didnt just introduce the whole cameras in the goal-posts thing a long time ago...then the ref could stop the game and make the call straight away...doesnt seem too unreasonable an idea to me...

That decision was completly ridiculous, everyone could see the ball was in.
I don't like the idea of video replays, but surely they can have the technology to have a sensor along the goal line and a sensor in the ball, so that when it crosses the line it can send a message to the referrees earpiece indicating that the ball has crossed the line?

Anyway, video reply or not, it wasnt that "hard" for the linesman to see it was in. We're talking about 1-2 meters!!
Crazy shit. I cant immagine something like that happening here in Italy! ;D
