The Dude
« on: January 08, 2005, 11:47:07 AM »
Ya'll know who I'm talkin about. Devin. Possibly the most slept on artist in hip hop. Anybody else feel me on this? If you haven't heard him, here's some tracks to check out.

See What I Could Pull - early shit, produced by himself
Mo Fa Me - mo early shit
Sticky Green - Face is on it
I-Hi - the beat is sick! devin makes it sicker!
Some of Em - Nas is on it
WXYZ - clowin
Just Tryin Ta Live - this is life
To The Extreme - off his new cd...sick bassline
Go Fight Some Other Crime - true
Briar Patch
She's Gone

Shit, just go buy his cd's...The Dude, Just Tryin' Ta Live, To Tha X-Treme

I've talked to a bunch of people who never even heard his music...their like, 'who is this?'. Don't be that guy.

yeah devin's dope.. i like "doobie ashtray" produced by primo on his second album and "Do What You Wanna Do" from his first album is on some classic shit..

btw "Bust One Fa Ya" off devins first album is the song he performed on the up in smoke tour before they launched into "fuck you" (off of 2001)
he's also not west coast :)

There actually are a lot of people who don't know who he is.  It's a damn shame.
