If this beef becomes public and very media exposed, then Murder Inc/The Row will have the advantage, the media will play up to Tha Rows history of making hit records, and play up to the popularity of Murder Inc, the mdeia who doesnt really know much about rap will be comparing Ja to the new 2 Pac,

But in real hip hop fans eyes, DPG will be on top of this beef cos they have the talent, new and old.

i agree that some of these DPG fans r living in 1996.  A lot of shit has changed since 95-96 when DPG ruled the music scene.  Mark McGuire and Barry Bonds broke Lou Gerihg's home run record, the Lakers won 3 str8 titles, we have a new president, not to mention the Patriots won a fuckin super bowl, which is a miracle in itself.  

Lots of shit has changed, and reality is no one outside of LA or this board gives a fuck about DPG.  that's real, go to New York, Philly, DC, Chicago, etc. and ask any guy off the street to name 5 member of the DPG, and he won't go any further than Snoop.  Tray Dee?  tight rapper but lyrically he'll be devoured by Nas or Crooked I.  Same with the rest of the so-called DPG, almost all r tight rappers, but they r no match lyrically for Crooked I, Eastwood, Nas, etc.  all the dpg fans don't realize there are more rappers on Murder Inc. than Ja Rule, like CAdillac Tah, Black Child, Ronnie Bumps, Jody Mack, 01, etc, and they aren't exactly pop acts.

on a side note, it's hilarious that one of the people that thinkof Snoop as a god is questioning the state of tha board when things r looking bad for Snoop.

agree 100%, except for the part about Quik, because Quik is a hypocrite.  he needs to make his mind whether he likes suge or not, because I've read several interviews with him and he's contradicted himself in all of them.

And how can any of you determine who would win? At the end of the day it's all down to preference. For example, I think Nas won the battle with him & Jay-Z, but others on here think different. If this did go down then I think it would be good, but it wouldn't change my mind on who's music I enjoy more. I personally think it will probably get out of hand though, so i'd rather see it not happen than happen.

The way I see it DPG and Tha Row are both tight record labels/artists and I hope they all put out great music andd don't get caught up in too much beef or negativity.

One thing about the DPG and Doggystyle crew is that they consistently release dope albums in my opinion. I mean for 2001 and 2002 we have seen or will see the following albums being released;
1. Daz - This Is The Life I lead
2. D.P.G. - Dillinger and Young Gotti
3. Tray Deee - Generals List
4. Tha Eastsidaz - Dueces and Trayz
5. Bad Azz - Personal Business
6. Snoop - Tha Last Meal
7. Tha Row Killa (coming soon)
8. Snoop - Paid The Cost To be The Boss (coming soon)
9. Daz - Who Ride Wit Us Vol 2 (coming soon)
10. Makaveli and Dillinger (coming soon, 3 months after next 2pac album due to legal agreements)
11. Crooked I - DPG version (dropping about 2-4 weeks after the Row's release of Crooked's album)
and also Nate Dogg, Warren G and other releases as well

Compared with Tha Row who will hopefully release Crooked Eye's album this year (hopefully in September), they have only released a some old 2pac, Snoop, DPG releases and nothing original.

So I guess what I'm saying is even though Crooked Eye and Eastwood are tight as the rest of the Row's artists are - DPG and Doggystyle will be releasing 10-20 albums a year while the Row will probably only release 1 or 2 albums a year.

I thought Murda Inc was shit as well, intill I heard the Inc Comp. album and thought it was pretty good. But you shouldnt hate on Ja and say all his pop fans. Because everyone makes there share of pop music rather it's Snoop, Crooked I(so damn hood), Kurupt(its over) etc.

But the thing with Ja Rule is, he came in hollering ITS MURDA, and actually rapping.  Now he sings all the time.........i am not hating him for this as i think he does pop music a hell of a lot better than he does rap.  In fact, he should stick to pop/r&B, cuz when he raps he is nothing more than a DMX clone (and we only need one DMX at most).......

The Truth, it is people  like you who make me laugh.....i mean, the only reason you bumpin that INC comp is cuz you think Suge is down with Ja RUle, and you a ROW groupie (i won't eve say Dickryder cuz i ahte that term).....If ya actually liked Ja RUle, you woulda known long ago that he has tons of shit on his albums that aren't pop..........its just that those songs usually are not very good at all....


As for DPG/Doggystyle vs. INC/Tha Row, it isn't really that close.  To be honest, DPG is the strongest overall as they actually release albums unlike Tha Row, and SOME of them can actually rap, unlike Murder INC.  Granted, Nas is better than anyone on either crew, but i can guarantee he won't ride on Snoop and them (and ja Rule already said he settled beef with Snoop).....

I'm not saying he's pop, i'm saying that most of his fans are pop fans that are only down with hip-hop now because it happens to be the 'in' thing, real hip-hop fans have been down even before it became so mainstream and don't just support releases that happen to chart. Ja is hip-hop to a certain extent, I mean he does rap now and again, not very well but he does incorporate some aspects of hip-hop into his music but right now i'd label the material he does make as hip-pop. I've said many times, he was barable when he made stuff like "Holla Holla", but he's completely sold out because he didn't sell very well when he was making some pretty hard material, thats not what hip-hop is about, i'm sorry. Atleast with DPG they make make the same raw music as they always have, whether it charts or not, they make the music because they want to, because they enjoy it, their not selling out just to sell a few more copies.

As for Tha Row, they still make alot of money of off DPG and 2Pac, when they start making money off of their new talent maybe then everyone can start to talk about who's better, but at the moment DPG has the edge, atleast their getting on with the music.
