Two albums that have missed are Dr. Dre's "Chronic" and Snoop Doggy Dogg's debut "Doggystyle".  These are two albums that experienced huge success in the "mom and pop" establishments.  It seems like every rap fan owns these albums, but they are certified at 3 million(Chronic) and 5 million(Doggystyle), low for two blockbuster albums in the era they were released. It is rumored that Dr. Dre has sold over 8 million copies of Chronic. Snoop Dogg was the highest selling rap album for the first week( before Eminem), but only the Soundscan stores were counted in the 800,000 copies counted.  This was without the stores without Soundscan.  Being released in 1993, there were many stores that have Soundscan now that did not back then.

holly shit doggystyle and chronic should actually be certified diamond 
i know these two albums had such an impact on the music industry when they where released but i've never realized that it was to that point
