But how easy exactly was it to see the truth before the war? There was plenty of propaganda going around trying to fool the general public and if some got fooled then the propaganda worked. and as for defending pre-war statement- there were many rallies held by colleges/groups/organizations in Washington D.C., United Nations and others- everyone spoke their mind before and during the time of war
