Scarface may not be based on a true story but i guarentee you its based on true events. This shit depicts the american dream from a poor immigrants prespective. Ive seen both movies and i dont place goodfellas even close to scarface.

Scarface IS based on true events... the original scarface from 1937 i belive was the year is based on none other than Al Capone's life, and Scarface from 83 is a remake.. however, Scarface from 83 has nothin in common with al capone :laugh:

u guys need to stop smokin that crack. Scarface is THE best gangsta movie. Goodfellas is real good but it dont come close to scarface. Who gives a fuck if it was based on a true story. Its a movie. Tony Montana is the GOAT.
