"Heavy" music.

Suffice:
yeah, it seems like you're looking more for metal bands. i'm not into that kind of shit to be honest. GYBE isn't even close to heavy if you mean heavy guitar riffs and lyrics, cuz Godspeed don't even have lyrics. You should check out Fugazi if u havent'

The New Pollution:
I am not looking for anything. I'm in a metal band, the last thing I'd really need is anyone to recommend me metal or grindcore. And yes, I know of GY!BE, and I listen to them all the time. I have their first album in my signature.

Fugazi are good. But I prefer Ian's first band. Minor Threat.

And I am far from close minded. It's just how it is. Punk is more than just power chords or conventional time signatures.

And who cares if it's simple? Rap is even more simpel than punk. If it sounds good, it's good. And how many pop punk bands can claim to have the the most important and innovative guitarist of their decade? Black Flag can, and they're a hardcore band. With free-jazz and heavy metal elements.

It's fine you like those bands. I don't care. It's just that they are not punk. Except ofr the Descendents. Sure they're poppy. But so were the Ramones. Being catchy or not doesn't have to do anything with being punk or not.

Also. Punk without shitty production and a lot of guitar feedback just wouldn't be punk. It's like metal without distorted guitars. Punk has to be dirty and chaos to be punk. Just like computer music (like, let's say, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Paul Lansky) needs computers.

don´t state that like it´s a fact. I doubt there´s a precise definition of punk that every album can be judged by as to if it´s punk or not. It´s not like I care if my Lagwagon CD´s are punk, but the technical definition of the style is not clear from all I know, prove me wrong (prove though, don´t just SAY it´s wrong)

And no, I don´t care it´s simple, at times I just need less simple music. MOST rap is more simple musically, but it´s also an art to make a good repetitious rap song arrangement, I mean a REALLY good one...and rap is more challenging when it comes to linguistic versitality, but i don´t wanna make this a comparison, what would be the point

and I don´t think Greg Ginn was the most innovative guitarist of a whole decade

--- Quote ---Anyway. To anyone who did not know yet. I was member of this forum more than a year ago or something. One of my screennames was Whenimondamic. In case anyone remembers me.
