February 09, 2005 - It's been a while since we heard anything about the long-in-development fourth installment in the Die Hard franchise. But just when you thought it might be stalling out again, Bruce Willis has given BBC Radio 1 an update.


Willis, who is currently in London promoting his forthcoming actioner Hostage, says that the production may get underway later this year.  "Die Hard 4.0 is being written as we speak," he says, "and if all goes well we'll be shooting it in Autumn on the east coast of the United States." We're not sure what the deal is with the 4.0 title formatting.

"John McClane has retired as a cop, and that's all that Fox have allowed me to tell you about it," added Willis.

The script for Die Hard 4, according to most recent reports, is being written by Mark Bomback (Godsend).  Willis has script approval and he's also producing via his Cheyenne Productions. 

Fox has hinted that if the film is successful they could make more Die Hard films after this one.

I always thought Die Hard With A Vengence was a good action flick. Not THAT good though.

What? I always thought all three "Die Hard" movies were top notch. Just like all four "Lethal Weapon" movies.

I agree, I thought all three of the Die Hard movies were good action movies.  Granted, the last two weren't as good as the first one...but they weren't that big of a step down.  All the Lethal Weapons were bad ass too.

Die Hard is Classic.  Die hard with a vengence is a good action movie.  Die Harder was cool, but my least favorite.  I hope they  don't ruin this one.

Another movie that is in the works is a fourth Indiana Jones movie...this is one that could be interesting considering that Harrison Ford is in his sixties...

good for them that they made some good movies but dont keep going on the same ol', same ol'
