Damn I really didn't understand the majority of what the fuck he was talking about.  I think that I would have been better off not watching that.  But, you gotta respect the man's talents.

i tried to read that shit but i stopped after half of it coz his answers are long as fuck and a lot of them donīt even have anything to do with the questions. i wonder if he was drunk when they did this interview coz his answers are all fucked up.

shit is comedy.  if you watch the video they're smoking non-stop throughout the video.   i'm impressed how cat can work like that.

anyway, that's a cool interview.  it's interesting to see how much cat loves the music and how much meaning the music has to him.  i had to take another listen to "i luv it" to see what he was talking about there.

is cat struggling?  dude was talking about how he was lowering his prices and shit to get some tracks to tray dee and he's said similar shit about bad azz in the past.  it's funny how cat puts in way more work than dre, more heat, more hits, and yet dre has greater success and recognition.  it seems like the issue there is that dre has turned his name and image into a product itself, dre has labels and protege's and shit.  cats can live and eat off doing hits for snoop, and the eastsidaz and brian mcknight and faith and shit like that, but the real money is clearly in having a record deal, having labels and shit.

my cousin once told me there wasn't that much money in producing an album for an artist, the money was in having a label deal or being independent.  he also mentioned that the big money for producers was with movie soundtracks moreso than albums, as movie soundtracks have ridiculous ass budgets so they can put together all star casts of artists and producers, whereas the budget for some regular shit is only a fraction of that.

i need to watch the interview again, but that shit was cool.  cats may not want to do interviews while high anymore though.
