and honestly i used to like chess when i was in middle school but i've found games that were alot better and had more strategy than chess
take Worms world party for example...
you might like this game trauma.... the graphics are only adequate but the gameplay lasts forever.... i had a whole US Naval ship addicted to this game and was even able to talk to the LAN administrator to put this game on the LAN so all can play on the ship

Trust me when I say that 20+ GB will be needed in future discs, if you're American you should know about a little thing called HD-TV...
DVD's today are compressed, the future craves big ass TV's with high fucking definition, and that demands space.

but there's two other technologies that are similar/better than blu ray and sony usually has a habit of making useless technology... minidisc, a certain type of dvd r disc, umd....
anyways, the need for a new type of media is stupid right now... just like how musicians don't even use up all of a cd, videogame makers don't use up a dvd.... and rarely does a movie need more than one disc unless you want 5 different versions of the director saying stupid shit about his movie

plus you should look at more of the new technology taht's coming out instead of hopping on a bandwagon Jome...
Mpeg 4 format will allow compression of a HD movie to fit on a dual layered DVD
this one company has designed a hybrid of dvd with dvd on one said and HD dvd capabilities on the other, without the need for a new player
then you have Blu ray which is only backed by Sony, disney and Fox while...
HD DVD is backed by most of the other movie studios such as Paramount, Universal, New Line and Warner Bros... both of these formats will require new players and neither will be compatible with each other but they will be backwards compatible for regular dvds
Finally Jome....since you think bigger is better you should check out HVD being developed in japan... these disc are the same size of a dvd but can hold 100 Gb to 1 Tb of data and will be availible in 2007
but anyways...games have yet to surpass the DVD phase and movies have no need yet to pass the DVD either, it's just companies want you to buy the latest thing that they tell you is the best... all i know is with Blu ray players selling in Japan for over $2,000, the price tag on the PS3 won't be pretty
