Real Madrid GM Sacchi has AZ Alkmaar trio scouted

Real Madrid GM Arrigo Sacchi posted senior scouts to check on three AZ Alkmaar stars in Wednesday night's UEFA Cup clash with Shakhtar Donetsk.

Fullback Jan Kromkamp, centre-half Joris Mathijsen and attacking midfielder Danny Landzaat are all being tracked by Sacchi, who has been following their form since Christmas.

Kromkamp is aware of Real's interest and admitted in January to being "flattered" by talk of a switch to Spain. It's now emerged AZ teammates Landzaat and Mathijsen are also being followed.

Sacchi also had the trio watched in Holland's international friendly against England earlier this month.

somebody pointed this out to me yesterday

it's good for AZ if they sell one of them for a lot of money, but these guys are also among the best players of Europe... $:-\$
