I did an in-depth review of the album that's been pasted in the ''Album Reviews'' section of the forum. Check it out...
"Shit ain't all peaches and cream, and I ain't Sara Lee, bitch!" - Lloyd Banks

"I'm Morpheus in this Hip-Hop Matrix, exposing fake shit." - Common

"With consecutive platinum hits, I up my status. Ain't no more Calvin Broadus!" - Snoop

"Look at all these conscious rappers - guess who influenced them?" - KRS One

It's a solid record. In fact, I really enjoy Defari's lyrics on this album. The overall feel of the album is laid back. Don't expect a lot of upbeat party tracks. It's one of those albums I can find myself putting on in the background while studying (thats how I feel about it) .... but I don't mean to push the good songs to the side. The song that really got me was "change." The beat is fine, but Defari flows three good verses. The second verse gets me. "Dreamgirl" is another song that is real good.  I like the beat, but the hook is good. I found my singing with it. This is real hip hop. Lot's of scratching, some solid sampling, it's overall a good album. My only dislike is the fact that it's too laid back. I read a review that said that this music is what brought the westcoast so much attention. Really, it's not.
