What do you think of what's been going on here the last week or so? We've been hearing some incredibly damning evidence from Justice Gomery's commision since he lifted the ban, and it seems like some of the people facing criminal charges have implicated Chretien knew what was going on, and one has even claimed to have discussed the money laundering with Martin over a meal.

Personally, I think next month should be a good time for an election to start so it doesn't coincide to much with the BC provincial election. I see the Tories sweeping Alberta (obviously), The Prairies, Ontario and picking up some seats in the East. I also see the NDP making some progress in BC. The Bloc will sweep 65+ seats in Quebec, and the Tories might see a seat or two. I wouldn't be surprised if the Green Party even picked up a seat or two. I think the Libs are pretty much done. Once we've heard all the testimony from Gomery there's no need to wait for his report, we'll all have the facts. Also, I see this election being fought like the last US one, on social issues (gay marriage, which most Canadians reject according to polls). Also, I think this election might show an even lower turnout than last time (less than 60%).

Of course, a lot can change in 2 months.

We haven't discussed anything like this lately, so let's get the discussion going.

Liberals will win the next election too

Ontario dont give a fuck about no Harper, or no "West Wants In" bullshit, or no Conservative platform

We dont care how fucked up Quebec politics are, as long as this 23 Billion dollar gap gets adressed, Ontario still down with the Liberals
It all depends on the Maritimes, and how much they can salvage Ontario, cuz right now they fuckin up here

And the next after that.  I don't see them losing power in the foreseeable future.
It doesn't matter how much hot water the Liberals are in, all they have to say is "the Conservatives have a hidden agenda...they are like Bush...they love war...they wanna kill public health care" and bullshit like that and it will work.

The Conservatives are the only sane choice to vote for but the majority of Canadians are stupid and have their priorities fucked up.

See I don't agree at all. Every single poll has shown the Liberals down by at least 15% compared to the Conservatives. Last time the Grits were up and they still got taken down a big notch. And "West Wants In" is old news, that's pretty much a lesser issue than it was when Reform started.  I don't think Martin even wants to or will bother to address the $23 billion gap because he has to concentrate on Quebec more than anything. And the Maritimes will likely not go Liberal except PEI. Realistically, Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia only got their offshore deals due to Tory pressure.
