I remember hearing a Quik interview on 100.3 The Beat back in 2003 (back when he was real depressed and said he wanted to be the next rapper killed) and he said that he thinks In Da Club is the next generation of west coast sound. That said, i dont think Fandango sounds like In Da Club, but hearing other Quik stuff like that beat w/ Wyclef thats gonna be on the album, I think he is going for the more orchestral sound that you could compare with in da club.

sup yall

now listen to what i have to say before you guys verbally kick the shit out me...

I love Quik to death and think that the new single is hot as fire.  But I couldn't help notice that it had a similar feel (instrumental wise) to In Da Club.  It was almost like a remix to In Da Club.  It had that feel to it, ya know what i'm sayin

I'm not sure if this was done purposely or by accident, but I'm glad Quik did it.  I think he kept it westcoast, but put a dr. dre-type of commercialism on the beat that was similar to In Da Club...

I just hope it blows up as big as In Da Club, cuz Quik deserves it

I dont see it. the song has a nice "mix" of styles, from west to south if u ask me. Great track!

The only song Fandango sounds like to me is "shut up" by Trick Daddy, with the use of the trombones and trumpets. It bears maybe a real faint similarity to "What's the Difference" on Chronic album, since that track had brass horns (tuba) on it as well. "In the club" has more of a dark feel, with the use of strings. There may be some similarity with drums but the synth in the hook of Quik's track, the layering of the horns and the guitar at the end gives it a completely different feel.

I can't wait till the album drops, I'll be bangin the hell out of it during the summertime.
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.

The track is dope as hell. I hope it blows. Quik and B-Real both deserve it.
