Author Topic: Did you know that.. Boyz N Da Hood almost signed with Aftermath.  (Read 173 times)

In the interview they gave Wordofsouth.com, The group states that Dr.Dre was interested in offering them a deal, but ultimately decided on signing with Puffy's label. Their debut album is coming in the summer and is set to feature a collaboration with the late great NWA legend Eazy-E!  I wonder, if his verse will be new or recycled?

Yeah but Aftermath and Bad Boy are on two completely different sides of the rap spectrum. Different crowds for each.

Depending on what kind of artist I am...

If Im Boyz N Da Hood... Bad Boy is the place to be. Why? Aftermath has TOO much going on, you'd never have a chance to drop when you want. Not to mention, they have NO knowledge of the South or its sound. Bad Boy is a pretty dismal label right now, but they still are so well connected that you're gonna get play no matter what.

Not to mention they have 8-Ball and MJG on the label. Thats a monster feature for ANY artist, especially a Southern one.
