ayo, I love people, that's why I rep w/ Brown Pride
even though bein' oppressed & ignored is the Downside
I bear the burden w/honor, just Take It & Strive
in most barrios, not many residents Make It Alive
cuz bald heads ride around, strapped in Low-Lows
hittin' bomb chronic & hydrolics while avoidin' Po-Po's
L.A. stands for Los Angeles - slash - Latin America
gang wars are like pandemics, causin' Massive Hysteria
from all Areas, like Mexico & Puerto Rico
according to the stereotype, all we eat is Burritos
I can't deny it, cuz I'm a mutt; a mixed up Vato
but not all of us "Beaners" fix up cars & make Tacos
we're born into struggle, you're not promised Manana
gotta hustle to make it to the top, like Tony Montana
whether it's slangin' Marijuana or some Stolen Shit
my family tree's full of criminals & Lowly "Spics"
some of us tag & create ghetto art, meanwhile Others Rob
even bein' bilingual, it's tough to find a Fuckin' Job
but I'm here to DiSS-prove statistics, got a G.E.D.
no kids yet, I'm just tryin' to put out a few C.D.s
I put it down for us Salvis, Chicanos & LAtinos
our culture's more than just the "Chupacabras" & "El Nino"
from Che to Cesar Chavez, to the Latest; Big Punisher
R.I.P. to the greats, check what I'm Placin' In Front Of Ya'
like the homie, Zach De La Rocha; I'm just str8 Ragin'
Against The Machine & the system, I find it Amazin'
how we get left out history books, they really Hate Us Now
we may kill each other, but then we make more Shades Of Brown!*
