Larsson Accepts Two More Years at Camp Nou

Henrik Larsson has announced that he has accepted Barcelona’s offer a new contract that will keep at the Camp Nou club until 2007.
The Sweden international joined the Catalan giants last summer and signed a deal for one year, with an option of a further season.

But after suffering a knee ligament injury that saw him miss seven months of the campaign, the club have given him the chance to stay for an extra year.

"It is a tantalising offer and I have decided to accept it," Larsson told Swedish newspaper, Helsingborgs Dagblad.

The 33-year-old added that he expects to have the deal completed by the end of this week.

Larsson returned to action for the final two league matches of Barca’s title-winning campaign as he appeared in the matches against Villarreal and Real Sociedad.

Despite fully recovering from the knee injury, Sweish coach Lars Lagerback did not call him into the national squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Norway.

Totti Signs New Roma Deal

The long-awaited official news arrived on Tuesday afternoon.
Francesco Totti has pledged his future to the Giallorossi as the Roma captain signed a 5 year-deal which ties him to the Capital city team till the 30th June of 2010.

The club also announced that the player will be receiving 10.4 million Euros per season.

This huge piece of news squashes all the rumours of a possible transfer of the player away from Rome this summer.

Now the Roman club will decide whether to confirm Cassano as well, or sell the starlet to Juventus...
