For those of you who were hoping The Game would listen to the criticism he got after all of the name dropping on The Documentary... I'm not exactly sure when they recorded Hard Liquor (in case it was recorded in 2004 then nevermind this thread, I just don't know for sure)... But he's still dropping names like his life depends on it. The ones I caught after a quick listen:

Dr. Dre (2x)
50 Cent (2x)
Eminem
The Game
Bobby Brown
Whitney Houston
Beyoncé
Busta Rhymes
T.I.
Missy Elliott
P. Diddy
B.G.
Jay-Z
Haddaway
Little Benny

So... In case "Hard Liquor" was recently recorded, which it seems to be... Then Game's next album will just be more of the same. Don't say I didn't warn you.

The song came out on DJ Whoo Kid's & DJ Spinbad's mixtape "Murphy's Law" in early March 2005...so perhaps it even got recorded in 2004...
Definitely not a recently-recorded song though.

Okay... The 50 Cent references weren't disses, so I guess that explains. "Tell security it's Game plus Fifty", that pretty much indicates they were still down at the time. Next question... Are there any recently recorded songs by The Game out on the net? As in real album type tracks, not just mixtape cuts or freestyles... Probably not, because his 2nd album is still in a too early stage of development right now. Anyway, I'm really wondering if he'll change his style (take the namedropping out) or not.

I wasn't exactly paying such close attention to the meaning of that - he could have meant it like "it's game against fifty" but naaaahhh.

It's an old song that was done around the time he was recording Documentary, it's a leftover. I remember hearing that song not long after the album came out.

And he DID say Hardaway and Lil' Penny. Game just spits words funny sometimes.  ;D
