all I know is that the box office of war of the worlds is really important to tom cruise, because he made a special deal. unlike normally, he wont get a certain amount of money that doesnt depend on the films sales, yet he will get a certain percentage of what the film brings in. if the film does really good, he could gain about 300mio$, which is SICK for an actor, knowing that the current top gages are around 25mio$.
