I'm not dissing Mitch and I'm not saying this trade is a rip off...I just said this trade doesn't really excite me...No players past their prime are involved in this trade, so you can't compare this one to the Payton trade of last year...If Jonathan Bender can develop after being traded the way Jermain O'Neal did, then this trade will be amazing...As it is right now, we're trading George for a lesser player. I'm not heavily against the trade, I just think George has more value...Plus, the trade hasn't even been announced yet...Take that shit out your avatar...PeACe

Anyway George is better than Bender NOW, but dont forget about the #17 draft pick. It's Bender + 17th draft pick in exchange of George. Like i said, the 17th pick will be decisive for this trade: it could turn great for the Lakers, or just a normal one with no impact on the team.

That's what I'm saying, this trade is a gamble...LOL...The point is that the Lakers can think up a deal less risky involving George...Plus, it's not only George...It's also Medvadenko (or Cook) + two 2nd round picks or 1 future first round pick...If it were just George for Bender and a 17th pick, then I'd say it was a nice trade...Remember, Lakers traded Rush for only a 2nd round draft pick!!! I think Rush has more value than George...PeACe

That's true...But he coulda' been huge for the Lakers...Kobe took him under his wing, he coulda' came up...Remember Game 6 playoffs vs. Minnesota? He drilled in those 6 3-pointers and sealed the series...I think he could easily have an all-star future ahead of him...Why get rid of so much talent instead of finding a way to incorporate that talent into your system? I still think Kobe can run point...Imagine if Rush did evolve, that awesome back-court combo...Rush and Kobe; two players with a similar style who compliment eachothers game...Rush improved his numbers by over 1,000 % already in Charlotte...And that was overnight...Imagine how much value he coulda' had...Why trade someone as valuable as Rush for a 2nd round pick? It just didn't make sense...PeACe
