Jay-Z's Nephew Dies in Car Accident
Jay-Z's beloved nephew Colleek D. Luckie died from injuries he sustained in a car accident Tuesday in Philipsburg, Pa. Colleek was the passenger in a car driven by Roscoe G. Neely when the vehicle veered across the center line and hit a tractor-trailer. The automobile then struck a telephone pole and slid 300 feet through a field. Roscoe suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

R. "Trapped" in Another Sex Case?
R. Kelly has been slapped with yet another lawsuit, this time by a woman alleging that the crooner videotaped her while they had sex. A judge has ordered the singer to give a deposition in the case. The R&B star's attorney John Touhy contends that the statute of limitations in this case has expired, and therefore R. shouldn't be forced to testify in the case.

Teacher's Pet Project
Ice Cube has signed on to star in the comedy Teacher of the Year for New Line Cinema. The movie centers on two junior high school educators competing for the coveted teacher of the year accolade. In other casting news, Michael Jai White (Exit Wound) will star in the action flick Cross as a toughie named James Cross, who is hired to find a missing R&B songbird.

Raising Hell, Again
Run-DMC's first four albums -- Run-D.M.C., King of Rock, Raising Hell and Tougher Than Leather -- will be reissued with previously unreleased bonus tracks on Sept. 5. Meanwhile, the personal and professional lives of Run-DMC's members are explored in hip-hop journalist/author Ronin Ro's upcoming book Raising Hell: The Reign, Ruin and Redemption of Run-DMC and Jam Master Jay, in bookstores this November.
