All religions might believe their beliefs are superior, but Muslims are the only ones who subjugate people of other faiths. For example in the west, Christianity is the most practiced religion but we still live in a secular society with separation of church and state. All religions are equal before the law. In contrast, Islam dominates society and government in most of the Islamic world. For example, it is illegal to practice any religion but Islam in Saudi Arabia.
As for why people strap bombs to themselves and blow up innocent people, it is more than not having hope. Lots of people around the world might feel despair, but it is only Muslims commiting these terrorist acts. Besides, the 9/11 terrorists and the London terrorists weren't hopeless......they all came from good backgrounds.
As I told Tech, don't blame America and its allies. There are Muslims all over the world commiting these suicide bombings for dozens and dozens of reasons that have nothing to do with America. There is something unique about Islamic culture that causes this type of carnage, and it needs to be identified and stopped.

All good? Never. As good? Maybe economically, but socially the Islamic world still has a lot of fixing up to do, like equal rights regarding women etc.

That gives the U.S. the right to interfere with their politics, support corrupt governments, and help bring leaders like Saddam to power? Is that why the U.S. supports Saudi Arabia, and only mentions "equal rights" when it comes to countries like Iran aka non-allies? When did I say US was perfect? And when did I say the Western world has no cleaning up to do? I think I made it clear with my all good vs as good statement that no place is all good. I'm Canadian, and I'm pretty sure that human rights in Canada are a lot higher than Human rights in in the Islamic world. We aren't perfect here either, but we are better off socially, and not just because we aren't invaded by the US.
