yea.. heard about it. Bi-Coastal signing of artists will start to pickup. Gone are the days of Record Label, coast and crew Affiliation. My guess is that in the future, you will see alot of Eastcoast labels.. signing Westcoast talent and vice versa.
Dre isnt releasing King T or Hittman.. yet.. hes fuckin with Rakim, an Eastcoast artists. Knoc gets canceled which was viewed by most industry headz as another Dre (influenced) album. (Knocs Landing ended up crash landing..)
Eminen's Shady Records signs 50 Cents.. Id rather Eminem focus on Royce Da 5' 9'' (even though hes from Detroit) It just seems backwards from anything we've ever known.
This trend is gonna become big is my guess. I mean.. Im down with hip hop so its all good.. but I wish The West coast would quit turning its back on Westcoast artists..

With all the tight rappers on the east coast why snoop has signed special ed??
Ed was tight back in the days, but now is
It's not the "deal of the year" for snoop's doggystyle records.
Instead of Special ed,put out another BAD AZZ album god dammit !!!!!!!

Special Ed last album is from 1995 (Revelations).
This is a small review from ubl.com
"Five years passed between Special Ed's sophomore effort, Legal, and his third album, Revelation. The Brooklyn native was 23 when this CD came out, and the hip-hop landscape had gone through its share of changes since Ed's emergence as a teenager in the late 1980s. So the rapper adjusted his flow to appeal to 1995 tastes, but he was still quite recognizable as Special Ed -- and he was still a technique-oriented boasting rapper first and foremost. Boasting, in fact, is about all he does on Revelations. But as clever as many of his boasts are, hearing nothing but bragging can wear thin after awhile. A few songs into the album, you're admiring Ed's flow but wishing he would talk about something other than how great a rapper he is and how inferior rival MCs are. And after over an hour of hearing nothing but boasting and nothing but technique, you're painfully aware of how limited this approach can be. Revelation isn't a bad album by any means, but it could have used some variety. ~ "
There will be a reason if Special Ed hasn't worked on an album in the last 7 year.....and now Snoop comes out with a new album from this wack rapper....cuz now ed he's WACK,back in the days was tight but now he's DEAD in terms of music.
The question is:if it's true, W H Y snoop has signed him ? ?
Instead of bring new cats (east coast is full of new talents!) snoop has chosen to sign this old and decrepit rapper.
Result?
1)Waste of money/time
I'm really not down with snoop on this one......
the track "Gangsta wit it" on the new snoop's advance (with prodigy and special ed) is a tight track, but daaaamn...special ed verse is one of the wackest of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Special Ed over a Battlecat beat.....oh my lord !

I doubt that it's Fred Wreck too.
Actually sounds more like Rockwilder.
And he HAS produced for Prodigy several times before too.
